COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 04 -
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TOM C. STONE, CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, TO EXECUTE THE WITHDRAWAL LETTER FROM THE
CENTRAL MOUNTAIN REGIONAL EMERGENCY MEDICAL AND TRAUMA
ADVISORY COUNCIL AND APPLICATION LETTER TO THE NORTHWEST REGIONAL
EMERGENCY MEDICAL AND TRAUMA ADVISORY COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, through intergovernmental agreement and pursuant to C.R.S. §25 -3.5 -704,
Eagle County currently is a member of the Central Mountain Regional Emergency Medical and
Trauma Advisory Council (hereinafter "CM RETAC"); and
WHEREAS, the County of Eagle has determined that the interests of its citizens will be
better served through membership with the Northwest Regional Emergency Medical and Trauma
Advisory Council (hereinafter "NW RETAC"); and
WHEREAS, the County of Eagle desires to now withdraw its membership from the CM
RETAC and join the NW RETAC; and
WHEREAS, the respective intergovernmental agreements and bylaws of the CM
RETAC and the NW RETAC require that Eagle County give a withdrawal letter to the CM
RETAC effective six months after notification and an application letter to the NW RETAC prior
to membership approval.
WHEREAS, Eagle County's Board of County Commissioners desires to authorize the
execution of these letters in a form similar to those attached hereto as Exhibits "A" and "B" by
the Chairman or the Chairman Pro Tem of the Board of County Commissioners in order to
complete the transfer of membership process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the Eagle County Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes the
execution of the withdrawal and application letters by the Chairman of the Board of County
Commissioners, or in his absence the Chairman Pro Tem, the terms, conditions, and obligations
of which are hereby approved.
THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary
for the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle, State of
Colorado.

Dear Chairs:
Pursuant to Article 11 of the Intergovernmental Agreement for the Central Mountain Regional
Emergency Medical and Trauma Advisory Council ( "CM RETAC"), this letter shall serve as
official notification of Eagle County's withdrawal from the CM RETAC effective June 30, 2005.
All Eagle County officers and directors' resignations shall be effective as of the same date.
Eagle County appreciates all of the CM RETAC's efforts in the coordination of medical services
in the central mountain region, but Eagle County has determined that its interests will be better
served through membership with the Northwest Regional Emergency Medical and Trauma
Advisory Council ( "NW RETAC").
Eagle County will be making formal application for membership into the NW RETAC
concurrent with this withdrawal letter. Eagle County's withdrawal herein shall be contingent
upon our acceptance into the NW RETAC. If Eagle County is not accepted into the NW RETAC
in a timely fashion, you will be notified accordingly and this withdrawal rescinded. Otherwise,
Eagle County's withdrawal from the CM RETAC shall be effective c_i the date given above.

Pursuant to Article 2.7 of the Northwest Regional Emergency Medical And Trauma Advisory
Council ( "NW RETAC"), this letter shall serve as official request that Eagle County be accepted
for membership in the NW RETAC effective July 1, 2005.
Eagle County is currently a member of the Central Mountain Regional Emergency Medical and
Trauma Advisory Council ( "CM RETAC") and has determined that its interests will be better
served through membership with the NW RETAC.
Eagle County will be giving its formal withdrawal notice to the CM RETAC concurrent with this
membership request. Eagle County's withdrawal from the CM RETAC is not effective until June
30, 2005 and is contingent upon our acceptance into the NW RETAC. Accordingly, I would ask
that you respond to this request at your earliest convenience so that we may make other
membership arrangements if necessary.
Eagle County looks forward to a positive response to this request and a future working
relationship with the members of the NW RETAC.
