Commissioner moved adoption
of the following Resolution:
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 98-A)/
RESOLUTION SPECIFYING AN ESTABLISHED COMPENSATION FOR:
COUNTY CORONER OF EAGLE COUNTY, STATE OF COLORADO.
WHEREAS, pursuant to §30 -10 -601 C.R.S.(1997), a coroner shall
be elected in each county for the term of four (4) years; and
WHEREAS, acting pursuant to Art. 14,§ 8, of the Colorado
Constitution, the term of office of elected county coroner shall
take office on the second Tuesday in January next following their
election; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to §30 -2 -108 C.R.S.(1997), the county
coroner shall be compensated at a rate approved by the board of
county commissioners; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to §30 -2 -108 C.R.S.(1997), no county coroner
shall have his compensation increased during the term of office to
which he has been elected or appointed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the Board hereby authorizes compensation at the annual
rate of $15,000 for the elected Eagle County Coroner, to take
effect January 12, 1999.
THAT, said compensation to be paid in the same manner as
other county officers and employees.
THAT, this document shall be recorded in the Records of the
Eagle County Clerk and Recorder.

THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that
this Resolution is necessary for the public health, safety and
welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners
of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, at its regular meeting
held the 31.01 day of , 1998.
