HomeMy WebLinkAboutR99-088 pud housing credits to vail clinic for The Tarnes^j Commissioner moved adoption of the following Resolution: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO RESOLUTION NO. 99- 89 AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF PUD EMPLOYEE HOUSING CREDITS TO VAIL CLINIC, INC. FOR ITS PARTICIPATION IN EXPANDING THE "THE TARNES" EMPLOYEE HOUSING COMPLEX WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners ( "BoCC" ), pursuant to Eagle County Land Use Regulations Section 5 -240, has the authority of final approval of any planned unit development (PUD ") and to require the applicant therefore to establish satisfactory employee housing; and WHEREAS, Vail Clinic, Inc. dba Vail Valley Medical Center is an employer in Eagle County, including in its medical center complex known as Edwards Medical Center located in Edwards, Colorado, and may in the future be an applicant for PUD approval; and WHEREAS, The Tames at BC, LLC owns or controls a multi -unit employee housing complex known as The Tames, containing approximately 60 units, located in Beaver Creek Subdivision -Third Filing, Tract B; and WHEREAS, The Tames at BC, LLC proposes to expand The Tames employee housing project with approximately 76 additional units; and WHEREAS, Vail Clinic, Inc. proposes to participate in the expansion of The Tames, by becoming a part owner of The Tames at BC, LLC, for which it will have allocated to its use units within The Tames containing a total of 34 beds (in either the old or the new buildings); and WHEREAS, the units within The Tames allocated to Vail Clinic, Inc. shall be restricted to employee housing for its local employees. GABOB W OTEMPHOLDWSWRED.RES f NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF EAGLE COUNTY, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS: THAT, Vail Clinic, Inc. be awarded 34 off -site employee housing bed credits towards any future PUD development by Vail Clinic, Inc. in unincorporated Eagle County upon the completion of the expansion to The Tames. THAT, the manner in which these credits, originating in off -site employee housing accommodations, may be applied to satisfying employee housing requirements of the PUD shall be determined by the BoCC at the time it approves the PUD. THAT, the BoCC finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary for the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
