COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 99 - 6�
RESOLUTION CONCERNING APPOINTMENTS
TO THE
EAGLE COUNTY WEED ADVISORY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado
(hereinafter "the Board "), is empowered and directed to make certain necessary and
administrative appointments and designations to various County boards and agencies; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to make certain appointments to the Commission relating to
matters of undesirabl.: plant management; and
WHEREAS, the Board is empowered by Section 35 -5.5 -107, C.R.S., to make appointments to
said Commission; and
WHEREAS, Glen Miller, Wayne Nelson and Blair Bakken have all expressed a desire and
willingness to serve on the Eagle County Weed Advisory Commission; and
WHEREAS, the following appointments and designations do not constitute contractual
obligations of the County of Eagle nor of the Board, and the County and the Board are not
legally bound for the respective terms of appointment of designation as specified hereinbelow,
the County, by and through the Board, having the authority, in its sole discretion, to change, add,
or abolish such appointments and designations and to fill vacancies as it sees fit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the Board hereby appoints the following individuals to the Weed Advisory Commission:
THAT Wayne Nelson be and is hereby appointed to the Weed Advisory Commission for a term
of three (3) years, said term expiring on the date of the first Board of County Commissioners
meeting in 2002, or until his successor shall have been appointed.
THAT Blair Bakken be and is hereby appointed to the Weed Advisory Commission for a term of
three (3) years, said term expiring on the date of the first Board of County Commissioners
meeting in 2002, or until his successor shall have been appointed.
THAT Glen Miller be and is hereby appointed to the Weed Advisory Commission for a term of
five (5) years, said term expiring on the date of the first Board of County Commissioners meeting
in 2004, or until his successor shall have been appointed.
THAT the Board finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary for the public
health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
