Home My WebLink AboutR03-162 Establishing Regular Public Meeting Days for Year 2004~' i L Commissioner t~ moved adoption of the following Resolution: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO RESOLUTION N0.2003- i' RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING REGULAR PUBLIC MEETING DAYS FOR THE EAGLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004 AND ESTABLISHING DAYS AND OFFICE HOUR5 FOR COUNTY OFFICES TO TRANSACT COUNTY BUSINESS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004 AND DESIGNATING LEGAL HOLIDAYS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004 WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 30-10-303, C.R.S., the Boazd of County Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado ("Boazd") desires to establish and publish a schedule of the Board's regular meeting days for Fiscal Yeaz 2004; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 30-10-109, C.R.S., the Boazd further desires to establish the days and office hours of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, for Fiscal Yeaz 2004, whereupon all County offices shall be kept open for the transaction of county business; and WHEREAS, the Boazd further desires to establish legal holidays for Fiscal Yeaz 2004, during which all County offices shall be closed; and WHEREAS, the Eagle County Personnel Policy, as amended, provides that the Boazd determine on a yeaz-by-yeaz basis the legal holidays for which County employees shall be paid. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO: THAT, the Boazd hereby designates and adopts those dates designated as holidays in the attached Exhibit "A" as County legal holidays for Fiscal Yeaz 2004, whereupon all County offices shall be officially closed for the transaction of County business. THAT, the Boazd determines that said legal holidays be paid holidays for eligible Eagle County employees. THAT, except for said legal holidays, all County offices located in the County Seat of Eagle be kept open for the transaction of County business during the hours of 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday of each respective week in Fiscal Year 2004. . ~r • • THAT, the Chairman of the Board or the County Administrator is hereby delegated the authority to close all or part of the offices of the County due to storm or other emergency. The Chairman or Administrator shall use his best efforts to notify the media of such closure. THAT, notwithstanding the foregoing, all Clerks of the Court and the Sheriff be subject at all times to the command of the people, and shall at all hours, night and day, be prepazed to attend such duties as may reasonably be required by them. THAT, the Board hereby establish and adopt the schedule of the Board's regulaz public ' meeting days for Fiscal Yeaz 2004 as set forth on the attached"Exhibit `B". THAT, until further notice, such regulaz public meetings of the Boazd be held in the Eagle County Room, Eagle County Building, 500 Broadway, Eagle, Colorado. THAT, the Boazd may hold such special or emergency meetings and adopt such publication procedures therefore as the public interest may, in the opinion of the Board, require. THAT, copies of Exhibit "A" and `B" be forthwith transmitted for publication to all newspapers of general circulation in the County of Eagle, Colorado, and appropriately posted at County government buildings throughout the County. THAT, the Boazd hereby finds, determines and declazes that this Resolution is necessary for the public health, safety and welfaze of the residents of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
