COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION N0.2003 ~~
AUTHORIZING EAGLE ~(:'OUNTY TO ACCEPT LETTER OF RECOMIVIENDATICt,~I
TO CONTRACT AND APPROVE THE NOTICE OF CONTRACT AWARD AND
ACCEPTANCE OF FEDERAL AVIATION ADNIISITRATION GRANT
FOR IlVIPROVEMENTS TO EAGLE COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT
WHEREAS, Eagle County, Colorado (hereinafter the "County") is a political
subdivision of the State of Colorado (hereinafter the "State"), duly organized and existing
pursuant to the laws and the Constitution of the State; and
WHEREAS, Eagle County is desirous of improving the Eagle County Regional
Airport (hereinafter the "Airport"); and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (hereinafter the "FAA's has
grant funds available to assist organizations, such as the County, in helping to improve the
infrastructure at the Airport; and
WHEREAS, the County has applied for funds to assist with matters relating to
improvements to the Airport, more specifically described as AIP Project No. 3-08-0020-34,
Rehabilitation of Taxiway A, Taxiway Lighting and Medium Taxiway Lighting - Schedules II &
III; and
WHEREAS, these funds will not be obligated before a FAA grant contract is fully
executed between the County and the FAA.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the County hereby authorizes entering into a FAA grant contract with the
Federal Aviation Administration to receive the grant monies for the sole purpose of improving
the Airport, more specifically described as AIP Project No. 3-08-0020-34, Rehabilitation of
Taxiway A, Taxiway Lighting and Medium Taxiway Lighting - Schedules II & III.
THAT the Board authorizes the Chairman of the Eagle County Board of County
Commissioners to execute any and all documents, instruments, papers or other forms necessary
for the funding of said grants.
THAT the Boazd hereby ratifies, confirms, and approves all actions taken to date
in seeking funding from the Federal Aviation Administration.
THAT this Resolution is necessary for the public health, safety and welfare of the
citizenry of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
