of the following Resolution:
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION N0.2003-~
RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO
THE BYLAWS OF THE EAGLE COUNTY FAIR BOARD
WHEREAS, at its regular meeting of February 12, 1983, the Boazd of County
Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, created the Eagle County Fair Boazd
(hereinafter the "Fair Boazd'~, by adopting Resolution No. 83-13; and
WHEREAS, Eagle County created the Fair Board to assist the Boazd of County
Commissioners in managing the annual County Fair, held each summer; and
WHEREAS, at its Mazch 11, 2003 Fair Board meeting, the Fair Board accepted and
approved a motion to amend the Bylaws of the Fair Board, adopted June 29, 1998; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article Eight of the Bylaws of the Fair Boazd, the Bylaws and any
amendment to them shall take effect immediately following their approval by theFair Board and the
Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County; and
WHEREAS, the Fair Board requests that Article One: Function of the Fair Board be
amended to read as follows: "The regular and alternate members of the Eagle County Fair
Board shall function primarily in an advisory role to the Eagle County Fair and Rodeo and will
operate and manage the Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed 4H Benefit and any other fundraising
efforts to benefit Eagle County 4H'''; and
WHEREAS, the Fair Boazd requests that Article Four: Contracts, Checks, Deposits, and
Funds be amended to read as follows: "The Fair Board shall have no bank account in its own
name, nor shall it hold any funds with the exception of an account for the Rocky Mountain
Oyster Feed and any account which may need to be established for a fundraising raffle pursuant
to Colorado Revised Statute 12-9-108(3)(a); and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners approves of the amendments to the Fair
Board Bylaws.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the Bylaws of the Fair Board be amended so that Article One states, in part, that
"The regular and alternate members of the Eagle County Fair Board shall function primarily
in an advisory role to theEagle County Fair and Rodeo and will operate and manage theRocky
Mountain OysterFeed 4SBenefit and any otherfundraising efforts to benef itEagle County 4H".
THAT, the Bylaws of the Fair ~3oard be amended so that Article Fonr states, in part, that
"The Fair Board shall have no bank account in its own name, nor shall it hold any funds with
the eacception of au account for the Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed and any account which may
need to be established for a fundraising raffle pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute 12-9-
108(3)(a)."
THAT, the Board of County Commissioners finds, deternunes and declares that this
Resolution is necessary for the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the County of
Eagle, State of Colorado.
MOVED, READ, AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of the County
