BOARD OF COUNTY CONIlVIISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION N0.2003 - O ~~
CONCERNING THE RATIFICATION
OF AN APPOINTMENT
BY THE PITKIN COUNTY COMIVIISSIONERS
TO THE
BASALT LIBRARY DISTRICT
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, C.R.S. 24-90-108 empowers the Boazd of County Commissions to make
appointments to the Board of Trustees of Library Districts; and
WHEREAS, on January 7, 2003, the Boazd of County Commissions of the County of Eagle,
State of Colorado, by way of Resolution Number 2003-003 appointed Maddie Simonet, M.D., for
Eagle County's Trustee to the Basalt Regional Library Boazd, term to expire March, 1, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Resolution Number 2003-003 was sent to the Boazd of County Commissioners
of Pitkin County for their concurrence; and
WHEREAS, on January 22, 2003, the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County
ratified the appointment of Maddie Simonet, M.D. as Eagle County's Trustee to the Basalt Regional '
Library Board; and.
WHEREAS, the Boazd of County Commissioners of Pitkin County has requested that the
Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County ratify its appointment of Valerie Welch as Pitkin
County's Trustee to the Basalt Regional Library Boazd, Pitkin County Boazd of Commissioners
Resolution Number 227-2002 attached and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMIVIISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, Valerie Welch, appointee of Pitkin County to the Basalt Regional Library District
Boazd of Trustees, is ratified.

MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of the County

2. The Basalt Regional Library Board has advertised for a vacancy on the Pitkin
County position and recommends Valerie Wetcb for the Pitkin County
appointment.
3. The Pitlcin County, Hoard of County Commissioners would like to appoint Valerie _ .
Welch as the Pitkia County representative to the Basalt Library Board of Trustees.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by tha Board of County Conunissioners of
Pitkin County, Colorado, that Valerie Welch is appointed to the Basalt Regional Library
Board of Trustees.
