Commissioner moved adoption
of the following resolution:
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 2003 - (jQ5
COMMENDATION AND RECOGNITION OF PUBLIC SERVICE
FOR
SHERIFF A.J. JOHNSON
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State
of Colorado (hereinafter "the Board"), wishes to commend and recognize the public
service of Sheriff A.J. ,lohnson; and .
WHEREAS, A.J. Johnson has served the citizens of Eagle County for 20 years in
the finest tradition of public service; and,
WHEREAS, A.J. Johnson has shown exceptional allegiance, diplomacy and
commitment to Eagle County a.nd its citizens; and,
WHEREAS, A.J. Johnson has provided the Sheriffs=department with a model for
teamwork and camaraderie for the future and the County with the leadership to create a
new jail and a victim's assistance program ;and,
WHEREAS, the Board desires to recognize the many contributions that A.J.
Johnson-has made to the quality of life in our communities; ~ ~~ -~:,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF-THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, ADJ. Johnson is hereby commended for his years.of loyal public service
and for his contributions to the citizens of Eagle County and the Eagle County Sheriff's
Department. .
THAT, best wishes are extended to him for good health, prosperity and
happiness in the years to come.

the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, at its regular meeting held the 7~' day of
