BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 01 -
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TOM C. STONE, CHAIRMAN OF BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS, TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT
OF THE INTERIOR, BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, FOR TRANSFER OF TITLE OF
THE PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE GYPSUM GUN CLUB TO THE TOWN
OF GYPSUM.
WHEREAS, in 1961, the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, received from the United
States Department of the Interior by Federal Patent Number 066511 a transfer of 64.30 acres of
land to be used as a shooting range. Such land is commonly known as the Gypsum Gun Club
and more accurately described as: Sixth Principal Meridian, Colorado, T. 4S, R. 85W, Sec. 31,
Lots 7 and 8, NEl /4SW1 /4 (hereinafter "Property");
WHEREAS, the Federal Patent Number 066511 precludes the transfer of title or control
of the Property to any entity other than Eagle County without the express consent and approval of
the United States Department of the Interior- Bureau of Land Management;
WHEREAS, as a condition precedent to the issuance of Federal Patent Number 066511,
the use of the Property was restricted to recreational purposes open to the public;
WHEREAS, Eagle County desires to transfer ownership and control of the Property to
the Town of Gypsum under the same or similar ownership restrictions;
WHEREAS, the United States Department of the Interior- Bureau of Land Management
requires an application packet from both Eagle County and the Town of Gypsum, including a
$100.00 application fee, for such transfer; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to authorize Tom C. Stone, Chairman of the Board of
County Commissioners, to sign and execute any and all documents necessary to complete the
application process with the United States Department of Interior- Bureau of Land Management
for the above stated purpose.
.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes Tom C. Stone, Chairman
of the Board of County Commissioners, to execute any and all documents necessary, including
the payment of a $100.00 application fee, to make application to the United States Department of

Interior- Bureau of Land Management for transfer of ownership and control of the Gypsum Gun
Club Property to the Town of Gypsum.
THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary
for the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle, State of
Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Eagle, State of Colorado, at its regular meeting held theday of �Ol.
