RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - Cj?
RESOLUTION CONCERNING
APPOINTMENTS
TO THE
BASAL T REGIONAL LIBRARY DISTRICT
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, section 24-90-108, C.R.S. empowers the Board of County Commissioners
of Eagle County to make appointments to the Basalt Regional Library District Board of Trustees
("BRLDBT"); and
WHEREAS, Chris Martinez, has resigned from further service as a representative on the
BRLDBT; and
WHEREAS, the Basalt Regional Library District has recommended the appointment of
Taylor Liebmann to replace Chris Martinez (letter of recommendation and supporting documents
attached hereto as Exhibit A); and
WHEREAS, Taylor Liebmann desires appointment to the BRLDBT; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County desires to appoint
Taylor Liebmann as a representative to the BRLDBT,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, Taylor Liebmann be and is hereby appointed as a representative to the Basalt
Regional Library District Board of Trustee to fill the term of Chris Martinez.

Chris Martinez, representing Pitkin County, has rcs4.,rned from the Basalt Rewonal J ..ihtary
District Board of Trustees. the Library Board has advertised for arrlicantll tn fiU the.: vacant
seat and has tl:t:eived three applications fOt the vacancy.
The Library Board met May 14,2007 and discussed the npplic:ationR and considered the
merits and qwilific.ations of each applicant. By a vote llf 5-0 the Board recolnttlends 'l'aylor
Liebmann to serve for the remainder of the term for the Pitkin County seat, which expires
March 20'12. A copy of Mr. Liebmann's application i'l attached.
We arc excited about having Mr. Liebmann juul tht: Huard and luuk lurward to yout
approval and resolution concernin~ this recommendation.
