THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this 16 """ day of Jc/./E
1978, by and.between the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, a body
corporate and politic, hereinafter referred to as "County," and the
Town of Eagle, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as
the "Town;"
WHEREAS, County and Town entered into an inter - governmental
contract for law enforcement services on August 5, 1975, under which
the County provides law enforcement services within the boundaries
of the Town through the Sheriff's Department of the County; and
WHEREAS the parties to said contract now desire to amend said
contract;
NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual covenants,
conditions and promises, the parties hereto agree hereby as follows:
1. Paragraph 12 of the above referenced contract which is
incorporated herein by this reference is amended to read as
follows:
"12. The Town shall pay the County for such law
enforcement services the sum of $30,000.00 for the
period January 1 through December 31, 1978, which
amount shall be payable in equal quarterly install-
ments payable on the first day of each quarter. In
the event of termination, such payments shall be
prorated to the date of termination."
2. This Agreement and the underlying subject contract shall be
deemed effective January 1, 1978.
3. Town agrees to pay all sums due for the period January 1, 1978,
to April 30, 1978, upon the execution of'this Agreement.
4. All other terms and conditions of the above referenced contract
shall remain the same and in full force and effect.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF the parties hereto have herein set
their hand and affixed their seals, in counterpart, on the dates
indicated to be effective the day and year stated herein, pursuant
to a resolution or ordinance, as appropriate, of their respective
governing bodies duly entered on the minutes thereof.
