RESOLUTION
OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 83 -c;�,
TREASURER'S BOND
WHEREAS, Mary E. Walker was duly elected to the
office of Eagle County Treasurer for a four year term
commencing January 3, 1983; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 30 -10 -701, C.R.S. 1973,
as amended, a county treasurer prior to entering upon the
discharge of his /her duties, shall execute to the people of
the State of Colorado a surety bond to be approved by the
board of county commissioners in such penal sum as the board
may direct; however, in the event the board does not fix the
penal sum of such bond, it shall not be less than twice the
amount of all moneys directed by the board to be levied in
the county, and to be paid to such treasurer during the year;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Eagle, State of Colorado, hereinafter referred to
as the "Board," has reviewed the penal sums of various
treasurer's bonds fixed by other boards of county
commissioners within the State of Colorado, the
recommendation of the Eagle County Administrator, and the
statutory purposes for which such a surety bond is required
as set forth in Section 30 -10 -703, C.R.S 1973, as amended;
and

WHEREAS, based upon the foregoing, the Board is of
the opinion that a surety bond in the penal sum of
$150,000.00 is presently sufficient and adequate for the
office of the Eagle County Treasurer.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of
County Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of
Colorado:
THAT, the Board hereby approves and fixes the penal
sum of $150,000.00 for that certain surety bond to be
executed by Mary E. Walker in her capacity as the duly
elected Eagle County Treasurer, in accordance with Sections
30 -10 -701 and 30 -10 -703, respectively, C.R.S. 1973, as
amended.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County
Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, at
its regular meeting held the 5th day of January, 1983, nunc
pro tunc the 3rd day of January, 1983.
