BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - 021
RESOLUTION CONCERNING AN APPOINTMENT TO THE
BASALT REGIONAL LIBRARY DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES
WHEREAS,pursuant to C.R.S. 24-90-108(2)(b), the legislative body of the respective
participating counties of the district shall appoint members to the library district board of
trustees; and
WHEREAS, Elaine Nagey, who is currently a Trustee of the Basalt Regional Library
District ("District") whose term expires March 31, 2025, desires to be reappointed to the Basalt
Regional Library District Board of Trustees for a second three-year term, and the District has
recommended her reappointment(See letter of recommendation attached hereto as Exhibit A and
incorporated herein by reference); and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County("Board") desires to
reappoint Elaine Nagey to the Basalt Regional Library District Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, the following reappointment does not constitute contractual obligations of
the County of Eagle ("County") nor of the Board, and the County and the Board are not legally
bound for the respective term of appointment as specified herein below, the County,by and
through the Board, having the authority in its sole discretion to change, add, or abolish such
appointments and designations and to fill vacancies as it sees fit.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT,Elaine Nagey is hereby reappointed to the Basalt Regional Library District Board
of Trustees, as a regular member, said term to expire on the 31 st day of March, 2028.
THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary
for the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle, State of
Colorado.

Dear Commissioners:
I am writing to request the re-appointment of Elaine Nagey as a board trustee for the Basalt Regional Library
District for a second three-year term which will end on 3/31/2028. The BRLD Board recommends the
appointment of Mrs. Nagey to the board of trustees. Mrs. Nagey brings diversity of experience and expertise
to the board of trustees.
Our current trustees are: Elaine Nagey, President; Carolyn Kane,Vice President; Eric Pelander,Treasurer;
Deborah Smith, Secretary; Suzi Jenkins,Trustee; Sarah Johnson,Trustee; and John Goodwin,Trustee.
