BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE,STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO.2025- 020
RESOLUTION SETTING A HEARING FOR CONSIDERATION OF A PROPOSED SERVICE
PLAN FOR THE CONFLUENCE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION SPECIAL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Eagle County Board of County Commissioners received a proposed early
childhood development special district service plan (the "Plan"), filed on February 14, 2025, with
the Eagle County Clerk and Recorder; and
WHEREAS, the Confluence Early Childhood Education Coalition seeks to form a new
regional special district in Garfield County, Pitkin County, and the southwest portion of Eagle
County,to focus on facilitating access to and delivery of early childhood education and development
services; and
WHEREAS, C.R.S. § 32-1-202 (1)(a) provides that a board of county commissioners, not
less than ten (10) days after such a plan is filed, is to schedule a public hearing to be held within
thirty(30)days of the date when such hearing was set; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners hereby finds that the Plan was properly
filed, and has duly considered its statutory obligations, and does hereby conclude that a public
hearing shall be held on the matter as set forth below.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Eagle, State of Colorado:
1. THAT a public hearing is hereby scheduled on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 1:30
p.m. in the County Commissioners' Hearing Room, located in the Eagle County Building, 500
Broadway,Eagle, CO, 81631,with one and one-half hours reserved for such hearing; and
2. THAT publication of the date, time, location, and purpose of the public hearing on
the Plan shall be made not less than twenty(20)days prior to the public hearing itself, per C.R.S. §§
32-1-204(1); 32-21-107;and
3. THAT at the public hearing, the Board of County Commissioners shall receive
public testimony and evidence regarding the Plan, and consider whether it should be approved
under the requirements of C.R.S. §§ 32-1-203-204; 32-21-107; and
4. THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary
for the public health,safety and welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle,State of Colorado.
