Permitted Construction / Details:
Installation of the OWTS exactly as depicted on the LKP Engineering, Inc. design done by Luiza
Petrovska, PE, dated April 14, 2016. The system is designed to serve a four bedroom residence and
includes Eliminite treatment components that can only be installed by a contractor certified by Eliminite.
The system consists of a 1,500 gallon Valley Precast concrete two-compartment septic tank and an
Eliminite TANC 120 with a Zoeller Aquamate pump discharging effluent to 1,714 square feet of soil
treatment area (prior to adjusting 30% for using chambers and 10% for dosing) consisting of four shallow,
serially connected trenches containing a total of 90 Infiltrator Quick 4 standard plus chambers as shown
on the design drawing. Roughly 75 gallons will be dosed to the first (top) trench.
Contact Eagle County Environmental Health and the design engineer to conduct all inspections. Engineer
certification of proper installation along with as-built drawings and photos are required to be submitted
to, and approved by, Eagle County Environmental Health prior to the use of the system or occupancy of
the residence.
NOTE: The ditch along the gravel drive must be diverted away from the soil treatment area.

RE: Final approval of the: Septic System Installation, OWTS-5-16-14705; Property location:
716 Siloam Spring Drive, Gypsum. Eagle County, Colorado.
Mr. Kenneth Williams:
This letter is to inform you that the above-referenced, OWTS-5-16-14705 permit has been
inspected and finalized. This permit was approved and sized for a total capacity. Additional
information about the maintenance your septic system needs can be accessed through our website
links, provided on the Environmental Health Department’s septic system resource page.
Be aware that changes in the use of your property or alterations of your building may
require commensurate changes to, or relocation of, your septic system. Landscape features,
trees with tap roots, irrigation systems and parking areas above the drain field can cause
premature system failure. It is equally important that you notice and immediately repair
dripping faucets and hissing toilets as this will certainly cause the system to fail. By
following a few simple guidelines, like avoiding grease or other additives down the drain and
making sure your septic tank is on a pumping schedule, your system has been designed to
last for many years.
If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact us at (970) 328-8755 and
reference the OWTS septic permit number.
Best Regards,
Giovanna Harkay

G 0716 Siloam Springs Road, Dotsero, Eagle County, Colorado
G Lot 1, Siloam Springs PUD, Eagle County, Colorado
G There weren’t any existing structures on the
property.
G There is an existing
well on the property. It was at about the middle of the lot.
G
G The topography of the property within the proposed
leachfield site is moderate with a slope of about 6.5 percent. The proposed
leachfield site is located north and uphill from the proposed building site.
G Two profile holes were excavated. The first profile hole was
below the proposed leachfield area and the second profile hole was just
above. The soil profile exposed in the first profile hole consisted of about
6 inches of topsoil over brown, silty, sandy gravel over 1.5 feet of brown,
silty to clayey sand to the maximum depth explored of 7 feet. The soil
profile in Profile hole number also had about 6 inches of topsoil over 6.5
feet of brown, silty, sandy gravel with angular rock fragments
(slopewash). A soil sample was taken from Profile Hole No. 1 at 3 feet
below the existing grade for a tactile test. Ground water or bedrock were
not encountered in either of the profile holes.
G
!
G The proposed leachfield site is located on a foot
slope, in the back yard, to the north of the proposed residence. The slope
shape is linear. The trenches will run along the contours.
G The topography of the proposed leachfield site is moderate.
G The vegetation of the proposed leachfield site consisted of
sage brush and some bare ground. Some of the vegetation had been
stripped for construction. The surrounding vegetation also consisted of
sage brush.
G To the south of the property is Colorado
River. To the east and west are vacant lots, to the north is the private
access easement for Siloam Drive, and Interstate Highway 70. There are
no other natural and cultural features on the property.
G Presently the property is used as a
residential subdivision. Previous use of the property was also residential.
It appears that the area was close to an old town and spa called Siloam
Springs and sometimes, Dotsero Warm Springs. The old resort town and
spa of Siloam Springs, owned by the Denver and Rio Grande Western
railroad, were located along the railroad near the springs on the south
side of the river. The above reference was taken from the Additional
Geological data Report on Siloam Springs, Dated February27, 2014, by
Dr. Robert G. Young, Geological Consultant.

G Access is limited under the
highway passage.Per the requirements of the Siloam Springs PUD
guidelines, a septic system with an advanced (secondary) treatment is
required. For this application an Eliminite Tanc 120c, pre-assembled in a
two-compartment septic tank, will be used between the septic tank and the
leachfield. The effluent will be pumped to the leachfield. The leachfield
will consist of infiltrator chambers in trenches with a serial distribution.

130 Series
Features
The Flow-Mate series of submersible pumps is designed for use in residential or
light commercial dewatering applications and can be used to transfer
groundwater or effluent. These durable cast iron pumps include a powder
coated epoxy finish to prevent corrosion and are designed to provide great heat
dissipation from the motor, ensuring a long service life. As with every Zoeller®
pump, each one is 100% pressure-tested, submerged and run to ensure quality
and reliability for years of trouble-free performance! This attention to detail is an
inherent feature of every pump in this series, making it one of the most reliable
in the industry.
Automatic models include a float-operated, 2-pole mechanical switch, a
stainless steel float guard and switch arm, and a solid, buoyant polypropylene
float, which prevents water from filling the float and causing a malfunction.
For nonautomatic pumps, variable level control systems and containers of
various sizes are available for longer cycles.
Includes a stainless steel handle for easy installation and removal.
All models are hermetically sealed to be watertight, dust-tight, and completely
submersible.
Reserve Powered Design: For unusual conditions, a reserve safety factor is
engineered into the design of every pump.
