Question: Should equipment pads be included in base bid? Answer: Yes, include equipment pads for each tank in the base bid. Dimensions of each pad 3’6” x3’6” x3.75” thick. Remove existing pad where Tank DWH-T3 is to be located and repour a new pad. 2. Question: Should the recirculation pump be piped to the mixing valve? Answer: No, the recirculation pump is shown piped to the tanks’ cold-water inlet with a check valve in the piping diagram shown on Sheet P501. 3. Question: The recirculation is piped to the tanks and not the mixing valve, how will the system not heat past the 117⁰F setpoint? Install an Aqua-stat, in a stainless steel well with heat transfer grease, in the recirculation pump piping and set at 110⁰F to turn on and off the return pump. Include the above items in Question #3 in the base bid. 4. Question: Should the DHW temperature after the mixing valve be added to the building automation system (BAS)? Answer: Yes, include in a stainless steel well in the mixed water piping with sensor heat transfer grease for the existing connection to BAS in the base bid. Jeff Hoover indicated there is a Trane sensor and wiring next to the existing recirculation pump adjacent to the existing storage tank. Jeff will make sure this is obvious with some tape or label. 5. Question: Should a thermometer be installed after the mixing valve? Answer: Yes, include an Industrial Glass Thermometer, in a stainless steel well in the mixed water piping with heat transfer grease, in the base bid. 6. Question: Can an electronic mixing valve (EMV) be acceptable for substitution of the thermostatic mixing valve? Answer: Possibly, include an EMV as an option to the base bid with cost difference. 7. The completion and acceptance of the work needs to be on or before August 31, 2024. This date can be adjusted if the receipt of necessary equipment does not allow for this schedule. 8.
