BETWEEN
THE EAGLE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES
AND
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF THE
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
REPRESENTATION OF THE EAGLE COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES BY THE
OFFICE OF THE EAGLE COUNTY ATTORNEY
THIS CONTRACT AND AGREEMENT is made and entered into
this 1st day of January, 1984, by and between the EAGLE COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES, to be referred to herein as
"Employer", through its Director, Mabel Risch, and the BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of the COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO,
to be referred to herein as "Employee..". -
WHEREAS, the Employer is desirous of retaining the
Eagle County Attorney, Beth A. Whittier, and the Assistant Eagle
County Attorney, James R. Fritze, as counsel for the Employer.
IT IS THEREFORE AGREED that the Employer shall retain
the County Attorney and the Assistant County Attorney at the
rate of $40.00 per hour of service.
IT IS FURTHER AGREED that time sheets setting forth
time spent in conferences, preparation of documents, court
appearances, and other records involving legal work done by the
County Attorney and the Assistant County Attorney shall be kept
and made available to the Employer on request.
IT IS FURTHER AGREED that this contract shall be
effective for a period of one year, beginning January 1, 1984,
and shall continue until December 31, 1984, at the pleasure of

the respective parties hereto with the understanding that
reasonable notice shall be given by either of the respective
parties hereto if the agreement is to be terminated prior to
December 31, 1984.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties do hereunto affix their
