At your request, and at the request of Mr. Rick Filters with Davis Excavating, on July 30,
and August 8, 2002., we visited the construction site on Lot 13, Block 5, Cordillera Filing No, 34,
737 Granite Springs Trail, Eagle County, Colorado. The purpose of our site visits was to observe
the installation of the septic system.
They installed the system in overall compliance with the septic system- design, Drawing
No. 99475D.DWCT, dated May 29, 2001. They installed a 2000-gallon, two compartments,
precast, a concrete, septic tank, and a 1000-gallon one compartment, concrete, septic tank. We
understand that in the second septic tank, they installed a Zoeller Pump, Model 292. As of today,
the pump and the alarms had not been tested.
The effluent line from the pump tank to the first infiltrator of the leachfi.eld was a total
distance of 346 feet. The effluent line was 2-inch diameter sch4O PVC. About 160 feet of the
effluent line crossing under the driveway was dou'ale encased in a 5-inch diameter, C900 pipe.
The Eighty -.five, Standard lrf,ltrator Chambers were installed in eight trenches, as shown
on the attached sketch, The first five trenches (near the road) contained eleven infiltrators each,
and the last three had ten infiltrators each. The infiltrators were connected with serial
distribution. In the first and last infiltrator of each trench, inspection ports were installed.
Horizontal distance from center to center of the trenches, was 9 feet or more.
