THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 85 -3'd
PROCLAIMING MAY 23, 1985
ARBOR DAY IN EAGLE COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County,
Colorado in cooperation with the Colorado State Forest Service,
by and through its local forester, do recognize the need to
rebuild the natural assets of the County; and
WHEREAS, certain improvements can be made to enhance these
natural assets and their enjoyment and beauty of the County for
these generations and future generations through the rebuilding
of our forests and shade tree population; and
WHEREAS, there is annually designated an official Arbor Day
throughout the nation with the purpose and intent to rebuild our
natural assets through the implantation of new trees of a variety
and species compatible with the natural elements within those areas.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners
of Eagle County, Colorado, hereby declare, Thursday, May 23, 1985, be
designated and proclaimed as Eagle County ,Arbor Day for the purposes of
renewal of the County's natural assets by rebuilding of the forest and
shade trees within the County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this Resolution be
disseminated to all news media within Eagle County, the local state
forester, and a copy of this Resolution be recorded in the official
records and proceedings of the County.
READ, MOVED AND UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED this 13th day of May, 1985.
