Neal, PE. The system is designed to serve a proposed three bedroom single family residence and auxiliary building, for a total of four bedrooms. Abandonment of the existing tank must be completed in conformance with ECPHA OWTS Regulation 43.9.C. The OWTS consists of a 1,250 gallon two compartment Valley Precast septic tank followed by a 500 gallon single compartment dosing tank equipped with an Orenco High Head effluent pump, model PFSW50, with floats set to deliver effluent to 656 square feet of soil treatment area consisting of three 54' distribution laterals set atop a three foot deep unlined sand filter bed, 54' x 12'. Maintain all setbacks and elevations as shown on the design drawing. Effluent must be screened by an effluent screen in the septic tank or pump chamber, or a filter placed on the discharge pipe from the pump. Note: Gradation of the sand media use must be completed within one month prior to the installation and confirmed with the design engineer. If the sand does not conform to secondary or preferred sand media requirements, it cannot be used for the sand treatment media. Contact Eagle County Environmental Health and the design engineer well in advance of requesting inspections prior to backfilling any component of the OWTS. The design engineer is responsible for conducting all inspections necessary to certify the installation and assure functionality of the system. System certification, along with photos and a record drawing is required to be submitted to, and approved by, Eagle County Environmental Health prior to the use of the system or occupancy of the dwelling. The Septic Installer was Reyes General Construction. The dosing pump and alarm system were installed and tested by Valley Precast, Inc. The installation of the absorption field, the septic tanks, distribution laterals and manifold components by Reyes General Construction were observed by Roger Neal, P.E. November 19, 2021. The operation of the sewage pump and alarm system components was observed by Valley Precast Inc, According to Valley Precast, the pump startup was completed properly and the system went through several cycles with no issues. Valley Precast has provided an independent certification letter to Eagle County under separate cover. Please see attached photos and an As Built drawing of the observed installation.
