Permitted Construction / Details:
Install the OWTS exactly as depicted in the LKP Engineering, Inc design dated July 14, 2022, stamped and signed by
Luiza Petrovska, PE. The system is designed to serve the daily flows from a 1-bedroom residence. A minimum one
bedrooms (instead of two) was approved by Eagle County staff in accordance with OWTS regulations for repair
sizing due to site and size restrictions.
The OWTS consists of an existing Norwesco 1,000 gallon two-compartment plastic septic tank followed by a new
Infiltrator IM-540 one compartment dosing tank with an Orenco High Head effluent pump (PF500511) capable of
delivering 13.8gpm against 10.9 feet of total dynamic head with floats set to dose approximately 90 gallons of
effluent 41 feet to the soil treatment area (STA). The STA consists of one bed with three rows of 7 Infiltrator Quick4
Plus standard chambers for a total of 21 chambers. The bed media will be over-excavated to 4 feet, mix, large
cobbles and boulders removed, and replaced before setting chambers. Be sure to stake and maintain setback
distances to the water cistern, dry gulch, and utility easement.
Contact Eagle County Environmental Health and the design engineer well in advance of requesting inspections prior
to backfilling any component of the OWTS. The design engineer is responsible for conducting all inspections
necessary to certify the installation and assure the functionality of the system. System certification, along with
photos and a record drawing is required to be submitted to and approved by Eagle County Environmental Health
prior to the use of the system.

RE: Inspection of Septic System Installation
1-bedroom Concrete Block Cabin
Lot 2, Sweetwater Ranches
1924 Sweetwater Rd
Parcel Number: 193505302002
Eagle County, Colorado
Project No. 22-3627– OWTS-024769-2022
Dear Michael:
At the request of the installer, Travor Dunsdon, Alpha Excavation, LLC on July 29, 2022, we visited
your property on Lot 2, Sweetwater Ranches, 1924 Sweetwater Rd, Parcel Number: 193505302002,
Eagle County, Colorado. The purpose of our site visit was to inspect the installation of the septic system.
The system was installed in overall compliance with the septic system design, Drawing No. 22-
3627OWTS.dwg, dated July 24, 2022. At the time of the inspection, we observed the following:
They installed an IM-540 Infiltrator Poly Tank - with an Orenco PF500511 high-head pump assembly,
in line with the existing Norwesco, 1000-gallons, two compartments, plastic septic tank. In the second
access port of the existing septic tank, new effluent filter was installed with the handle extended close to the
top of the riser. The pump tank access port had 42-inch, corrugated, plastic riser with secured, green, plastic
covers. The existing septic tank had 30-inch, black plastic covers, also secured with nuts, bolts and screws. The
control panel was installed on the west side of the cabin, at the SW corner.
The effluent line from the pump chamber to end manifold of the soil treatment area, was about 42-feet
long, 1.5-inch diameter, sch40 pvc pipe. The end manifold was about 6-feet long, 1.5-inch sch40 pvc. The soil
treatment area consisted of infiltrator chambers arranged in a bed configuration with three rows of 7 Quick
Four Plus Standard Infiltrator Chambers in each. Four feet of the onsite material was excavated, mixed and
backfilled into the excavated bed. Pressure dosing system consisting of 28-ft, 1.25-inch sch40 laterals
perforated at the top with 1/8-inch holes at 4-ft intervals, suspended from the side of each row of infiltrator
chambers. The ends of the laterals were equipped with flushing assemblies. A squirt test was performed during
the inspection, and it was satisfactory. Claire from the ECEH Department was present during the inspection
and the squirt test. All inspection ports were installed (in the end caps of the first and last chamber of each row
of infiltrators) in the openings opposite the pressure distribution lines.
The system installation and the startup of the pump system were done by the installer, Travor
Dunsdon, Alpha Excavation, LLC.
There is no other warranty either expressed or implied.
Sincerely,
LKP Engineering, Inc.

RE: Soil and Site Evaluation –
1-bedroom Concrete Block Cabin
Lot 2, Sweetwater Ranches
1924 Sweetwater Rd
Parcel Number: 193505302002
Eagle County, Colorado
Project No. 22-3627
Dear Michael:
Following is the soil/site evaluation for the proposed Onsite Wastewater Treatment
System (OWTS) replacement for the existing, one bedroom cabin to be constructed at 1924
Sweetwater Rd, P Lot 2, Sweetwater Ranches, Parcel Number: 193505302002, Eagle County,
Colorado.
The proposed system a replacement system for a one-bedroom cabin. The failed septic
tank has already been replaced with a Norwesco, 1000-gallons, two compartments, plastic septic
tank. The Soil Treatment Area (STA) will consist of a bed with three rows with 7 Quick 4 Plus,
Standard Infiltrator Chambers in each, for a total of 21 infiltrator chambers, over 4 feet of
overexcavated soi. The soil below the infiltrator chambers will be improved by excavating four
feet of the existing soil, mixing and placing it back in the excavation, per the requirements of the
OWTS #43 regulations. The effluent will be applied with pressure dosing with an Orenco Pump.
! Preliminary Investigation
G Address: 1924 Sweetwater Road, Eagle County, Colorado
G Legal Description: Lot 2, Sweetwater Ranches, Eagle County, Colorado.
G Existing Structures: There are is an existing on- bedroom, concrete block
cabin.
G Location of existing and proposed wells on property: There is a cistern on
the west side of the cabin, as shown on the design drawing. The cistern is
filled from a well on the south side of Sweetwater Road.
G ECEHD (Eagle County Environmental Health Department) records: There
are no records of existing septic system on the property.
G Topography: The topography of the leachfield site has slope of about 10
percent.
G Soil Data: The profile holes had been excavated prior to our site visit. The
soil exposed in the profile holes was as follows:
