RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing has been held on this date pursuant to Notice there-
• of reading as follows:
"NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held on
Wednesday, October 14, 1970, at the hour of 10:30 o'clock A. M., at our
office in the County Courthouse in the Town of Eagle, Colorado, to
consider the advisability of designating the following described area
in the unincorporated territory of Eagle County, Colorado, to-wit:
An area comprising one-fourth (1/4) of a mile on
each side, right angle measure, of that portion of
U. S. Highway No. 6 and I-70 extending from the
Vail Interchange to the point where Main Gore Creek
crosses said Highway on the West side of Vail Pass,
in which it shall be unlawful for any person to discharge any fire arms,
under the provisions of, and subject to the exceptions stated in,
• Chapter 36, Article 22, Sections 1-4, inc., Colorado Revised Statutes
1963, as amended (1967 Supplement).
Any interested person may appear at said meeting and have an opportunity
to be heard.
Dated at Eagle, Colorado, this 10th day of October, 1970.

which said Notice was posted on the official bulletin board in the foyer inside
the East front door of the County Courthouse in the Town of Eagle, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, at such Hearing the following persons were present: County Commission-
ers Marks, Koprinikar and Gerard; Maxwell R. Barz, Clerk of the Board; Hubert N.
Peterson, County Treasurer; James H. Seabry, Sheriff of Eagle County, Colorado;
Ed Browning, representing the U. S. Forest Service at Minturn; Al Orlosky and Kris
• Moser, as Representatives of the Game, Fish and Parks Division of the State of
Colorado; Harlan Choates of Bighorn Rentals; Mrs. Shelley Barthel and Dale McCall
of Vail, Colorado; and Gene K. Luby, County Attorney; and
WHEREAS it appearing from information adduced at said Hearing and other sources,

that the area hereinafter designated, has an average population density of not
less than one hundred persons per square mile,
NC , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the following
4111 described area in the unincorporated territory of Eagle County, Colorado, to-wit:
An area comprising one-half (1/2) of a mile on each side,
right angle measure, of that portion of U. S. Highway No. 6
and I-70 extending from the Vail Interchange to the Gore
Creek Camp Ground at the intersection of Gore Creek and
said Highway on the Vest side of Vail Pass, excepting
however, that portion of said area embraced within the
corporate limits of the Town of Vail, Colorado
is hereby designated as an area in which it shall be unlawful for any person to
discharge any fire arms under the provisions of, and subject to the exceptions
stated in, Chapter 36, Article 22, Sections 1-4, inc., Colorado Revised Statutes
1963, as amended (1967 Supplement).
