RESOLUTION
OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE IN THE STATE OF COLORADO
WHEREAS, by Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of
Eagle County, State of Colorado, passed and approved the 5th day of
October, 1964, a Public Works Fund was created in accordance with the
410 provisions of Chapter 36, Article 3, Section 3 of Colorado Revised
Statutes, 1963, for the purpose of providing funds„ for the construc-
tion of a Court House annex and necessary remodeling of the County
Court House at Eagle, the cost thereof having been then estimated at
Seventy-five Thousand Dollars, requiring an annual tax levy of one
mill for a period of five years, commencing with the fiscal year 1965;
AND, WHEREAS, said five years in which said annual tax levy of
one mill have been made, have passed, and there is presently available
in such fund an amount slightly in excess of Sixty Thousand Dollars
which is inadequate under present conditions to accomplish the purposes
desired at the time said Resolution was passed, or to accomplish the
purposes now desired;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the original stated purposes
for which said Public Works Fund was created, be changed and clarified
so that the purposes for which said fund may be expended, are the
remodeling, alteration and improvement of the present County Court
House located on Block 28, owned by the County, in the Town of Eagle,
Colorado, and for the construction of a County Court House annex or
addition or additions or such other puilding or buildings at aforesaid
location, as may be necessary to 41e7 Viagte congested c d' 'o resent-
ly prevailing in said County Court House, and which i` i � ate'ab�
will become more acute in the future, at an estimated cost of Two Hundred
Thousand Dollars; that the annual tax levy required to supplement the
amount now on hand in said Public Works Fund, to accomplish aforesaid
purposes, is one mill; and that said levy should be made for five consec-
40 utive years, commencing with a levy to be made in the year 1969 for the
fiscal year of 1970; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a public hearing upon aforesaid pro-
posals and propositions is hereby called to be held in the County
Commissioners Room of the County Court House in the Town of Eagle, Colo-
rado, on Monday, the 27th day of October, 1969 at one-thirty o'clock P.M.4
READ, CONSIDERED, PASSED AND APPROVED at a regular meeting held
this 6th day of October, 1969.
