RE: Issuance of Individual Sewage Disposal System Permit No. 1867-99, Tax Parcel

Enclosed is your ISDS Permit No. 1867-99. It is.valid for 120 days. The enclosed copy of the
permit must be posted at the installation site. Any changes in plans or specifications invalidates
the permit unless otherwise approved.
Also enclosed is the ISDS Final Inspection Completeness Form.. The items on this form need
to be completed before you call for your final inspection. Also, please note any special
conditions which may have been placed on the permit. If all items are not completed, a
reinspection fee of $42.50 must be paid before a reinspection is made.
Please call our office well in advance to allow for scheduling of final inspection. Your building
permit TCO will not be issued until final approval has been given for the ISDS Permit.
Permit specifications are minimum requirements only, and should be brought to the property
owner's attention.
This permit does not indicate conformance with other Eagle County requirements.

Enclosed is a check for the re -inspection of our second profile pit. As I
mentioned, it is similar to the first, only the rock is deeper. My Contractor, ERIC
WORKMAN with RUDD CONSTRUCTION, will have his ISDS sub -contractor
pull that permit via the health dept. He has already filed for that permit.
Please call me after reviewing the pit to verify your willingness to accept a
standard field design. Our ISDS contractor prefers them to an "infiltrator" type
system.

On May 6, 1999, I performed a percolation test and soil profile evaluation, on the property
located at 710 Paseo Drive, Fox Run Meadows Subdivision, Carbondale, Colorado. The
percolation rate was 40 minutes per inch, which is within the limits for a conventional system to
be installed, however the soil profile was only six feet eight inches deep because of basalt rock in
the hole. The rock could be observed on the edge of the profile hole beginning at a depth of two
feet. There was a lot of rock in the material extracted form the soil profile hole, large boulders
present along the roadway, and an outcropping of rock in the trees north of the house site. I
recommend that this system be designed by a registered professional engineer because of the
potential for the rocky soil to interfere with adequate treatment of the septic tank effluent, and the
Fox Run Meadows subdivision requirement that there be an alternate site selected for the leach
field incase the original leach field site fails.
Please contact a registered professional engineer to evaluate this site for two potential leach field
sites, and design an on -site wastewater system which will provide for a safe and functional
