BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 88-
A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING MONEY FROM THE
COLORADO LOTTERY FUNDS `CONSERVATION TRUST FUND)
FOR THE VISITORIS INFORMATION CENTER IN CHAMBERS PARK,
IN EAGLE THE TOWN OF EAGLE, COUNTY OE EAGLE, COLORADO,
IN ACCORD WITH 24-35-210, C.R.S.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Eagle, State of Colorado (hereinafter "Board"), is in
receipt of unanticipated revenue in the amount of Seventy-Two-
Thousand, seven-Hundred-Ninety-Eight Dollars from the Lottery
Funds (Conservation Trust Fund) , as in accord to 24 -35-210,
C.R.S; and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned revenue was not anticipated
at the time of the adonninn of the 1qAQ b"Anny onsiny C"011
revenue was not assured at the time of the adoption of the 1988
budget and therefore was not appropriated; and
WHEREAS, tie Board has an unanticipated need to
appropriate for development and construction of an Eagle County
Visitor's information Center at Chamber's Park in Eagle County in
the amount of 535,000; and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned expenditures were not
anticipated at the time of the 1988 budget, and thus revenues
were not appropriated for the payment of the same; and
WHEREAS, the Board has the authority for expend such
unanticipated or unassured revenues by enacting a supplementary
budget and appropriation, pursuant to Section 24-35-210, C.R.S..
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the Board hereby authorizes a supplementary
budget and appropriation in the total amount of $35,000.00 from
the County's Conservation Trust Fund for the purpose specified
herein.
THAT, the Treasurer of the County of Eagle is hereby
requested and directed to take all aciton necessary to effectuate
the intent of this Resolution.
THAT, pursuant to 29- 1- 111.6, C.R.S., this Resolution,
as proposed, has been published in full one time in a newspaper
having general circulation within the territorial limts of the
County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
THAT, the Eagle County Budget Officer is hereby
requested and directed to immediately transmit an original or
certified copy of this Resolution to the affected spending
agencies and the officer or employee of the County of Eagle
whose duty it is to draw warrants or orders for the payment of
money.
THAT, the Eagle County Budget officer is hereby
further requested and directed to file an original or certified
copy of this Resolution with the Division of Local Governments in
the Department of Local Affairs.
THAT, this Resolution is necessary for the public
health, safety and welfare of the County of Eagle, State of
Colorado.
