Re: Amended acreage proposal - Eagle County/BLM Land Transfer.
Dear Mr. Mottice:
.00
JOHNNETTE PHILLIPS
JAMES E. JOHNSON, JR.
TOM C. STONE
Please find attached an amended acreage proposal for purchase of BLM lands by Eagle County.
This proposal reduces the purchase area to 730 acres from the approximate 1,341 acres originally
requested. The reduction is due to exclusion of several parcels as cultural resource site
mitigation and threatened & endangered plant mitigation; the exclusion of several parcels along
the western boundary of the original proposed purchase area due to unsuitability for future
landfill development; and, exclusion of 25 acres which the Eagle River Water & Sanitation
District has proposed for purchase under a separate patent. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Johnnette Phillips, Chairman
Eagle Board of County Commissioners
