A four -bedroom home is proposed to be built on the site. The site is not currently served by Upper Eagle Valley Consolidated Sanitation District; an Individual Sewage Disposal System is proposed. PROPOSED USE The proposed system will serve a four -bedroom residential single family dwelling. QUANTITY OF SEWAGE (4 Bedrooms)(2 persons/bedroom)(75 gpd)(1.5 peaking factor) = 900 gpd 04-- SEPTIC TANK SIZE 900 gpd x 30 hrs/day = 1,125 gallons (25� ( �U` vvx n 24 hrs/day Round up to 1,500 gallon capacity tank with baffle. 6-K- SOILS INVESTIGATION On April 29, 1996, three percolation tests were performed at the proposed absorption trench location. Three pits were hand -dug to a depth of two and a half feet, encountering silt with very little clay to the end of hole. Neither roundwater nor evidence of a seasonal high water table was encountered in the holes. The average percolation rate was 19 minutes per inch (MPI). All three tests indicated sufficient percolation rates. A geotechnical investigation was performed at the site in February 1996. Test borings conducted at the eastern end of the property indicate var in depths to bedrock (2.5 feet and 8 feet). Soil in the area of the proposed absorption trenches appears to be derived from slope wash and it has been assumed for design purposes that the depth to bedrock is at least eight feet.
