Enclosed is your ISDS Permit No. 1388 is valid for 120 days. The
enclosed copy of the permit must be posted at the installation
site. Any changes in plans or specifications invalidates the
permit unless otherwise approved. Please call our office well in
advance for the final inspection.
Systems designed by a Registered Professional Engineer must be
certified by the Engineer indicating that the system was
installed as specified. Eagle County does not perform final
inspections on engineer designed systems.
Permit specifications are minimum requirements only, and should
be brought to the property owner's attention.
This permit does not indicate conformance with other Eagle County
requirements.

Dear Scott:
As requested, we coa:lducted }percolation testing at the above referenced sites.
A profile pit was du; , at each site prior to our arrival. The logs of the pits are presented in
Fig. 1. The comfort station soils consist of sand and clay man -placed fill. The subsoils at
the maintenance facility consist of 2 1I2 feet of topsoil and silty clayey sand above
sandstone-siltstone 1-ledrock.
The percolation test .results for the comfort station are presented in Table I. Percolation
testing was not Conducted at the maintenance facility due to the shallow bedrock. The
comfort station site should be suitable for a conventional infiltration septic disposal
system. We expect -1Aat the high percolation rate at P-2 is localized and not representative
due to the fill Condition. Wetting of the fill could cause differential settlement of the
subsoils. Additional profile holes are recommended at the maintenance facility to locate
adequate soil. depth. A civil engineer should design the system.

Dear Ray:
On July 28, 1994, HCE personnel observed the visible construction of the individual sewage
disposal system located at the above noted location, in Eagle County, Colorado. The septic tank
which was of precast concrete, was visible. The absorption trenches were constructed and the
infiltrator units were in place. The distribution box was in place and an area approximately five
feet square had been compacted for its base.
The contractor and Scott Parks were informed that the end of one of the trenches was relatively
close to the cut for the adjacent parking area. Rough measurements indicated that a slope in
excess of 4:1 from the end of the trench to the rough cut was available. However, since
construction was not complete, we cautioned them to maintain at least that slope.
We believe that the construction conforms with the intent of the design, and recommend its
acceptance.
