NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election of the District shall be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The election is being conducted as an independent mail ballot election. The ballots will be mailed to the eligible electors of the District no earlier than 22 days prior to the election (October 12, 2020) and no later than 15 days prior to the election (October 19, 2020). At such election, the electors of the District shall vote for and against Ballot Issue A. There will be one (1) drop off location for voted ballots, which will also be the walk-in location to obtain new or replacement ballots. This location will be the offices of the Eagle River Fire Protection District, 1050 Edwards Village Boulevard, Edwards, Colorado, and shall be open during normal business hours Monday through Friday, beginning at least 22 days prior to the election day and from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. There will be a freestanding drop box at this location. The drop box will be labeled “Eagle River Fire Protection District Ballot Drop Off Only”. Ballots can also be returned by mail to: P.O. Box 2942, Edwards, Colorado 81632. If ballots are mailed, they must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Postmarks DO NOT COUNT. DELIVERING TO THE EAGLE COUNTY CLERK OR ANY OTHER DESIGNATED ELECTION OFFICIAL OR ELECTION JUDGE DOES NOT COUNT.
