The purpose of our site visits was to inspect the installation of the septic system. They installed the system in overall compliance with the septic system design, Drawing No. 16-2963OWTS-Elim-infil.dwg, last revised 3-23-2015, and as shown on the attached as -built sketch. They installed a 2000-gallons, two compartments, precast, concrete septic tank by Valley Precast Concrete and an Eliminite Tanc 120C, in a 1500-gallons, two compartments, precast, concrete, septic tank, also by Valley Precast. The septic tanks had two access openings on each tank with about 2-foot high, plastic, corrugated risers. In the second chamber of the Eliminite tank there were two pumps. One pump was for the recirculation of the effluent of the Eliminite system and the other pump was for the discharge of the treated effluent into the leachfield. A return line was connected from the second compartment of the Eliminite tank into the first compartment of the septic tank for nitrogen removal. A cleanout was constructed between the septic tank and the building. During a site visit on June 21, 2016, it was determined by the installer Ric Filters, that the elevation at the first infiltrator of the leachfield was higher than the invert on the tank for gravity discharge. At that time on site, we recalculated the area of the leachfield by applying an additional 10 percent reduction for pumped effluent, which reduced the number of infiltrators from 88 to 79. Calculations used for the Absorption Area Based on application rate: a = 750gpd/0.5gpd/s.f. a = 1500 s.f. The absorption area will be reduced by 30percent for use of infiltrator chambers in a trench configuration. Quick 4 Plus, Standard Infiltrator Chamber system in a trench configuration is recommended. Aadjusted = 1500 x 0.7(for infiltrators in trenches) = 1050 sf. Additional reduction for pumped effluent: P.O. In the first trench there were twenty-five (25) and eight (8) infiltrators separated by about 7-foot section of a 4-inch diameter, SDR35 pipe. The second trench followed with six (6) and twenty-five (25) infiltrators separated with about 7.5 feet of 4-inch diameter SDR35 pipe, and the last trench had fifteen (15) infiltrators. The treated effluent will be pumped into the first trench of infiltrators through a 20-foot section of 2-inch diameter, perforated, sch40pvc, suspended from the tops of the infiltrator chambers. There was a minimum of six feet separation between the trenches. In the first and last infiltrator of each trench, inspection port was installed. The system was tested and put into operation by the Eliminite Representative, Kenny Williams. He will also be providing maintenance for the system. His letter of the startup will be attached with the documents submitted to the county. There is no other warranty either expressed or implied.
