2. THIS PERMIT IS VALID ONLY FOR CONNECTION TO STRUCTURES WHICH HAVE FULLY COMPLIED WITH COUNTY ZONING AND BUILDING REQUIREMENTS. CONNECTION
TO OR USE WITH ANY DWELLING OR STRUCTURE NOT APPROVED BY THE ZONING AND BUILDING DEPARTMENTS SHALL AUTOMATICALLY BE A VIOLATION OF A
REQUIREMENT OF THE PERMIT AND CAUSE FOR BOTH LEGAL ACTION AND REVOCATION OF THE PERMIT.

site. Any changes in plans or specifications invalidates the

Systems designed by a Registered Professional Engineer must be
certified by the Engineer indicating that the system was
installed as specified. Eagle County does not perform final
inspections on engineer designed systems.
Permit specifications are minimum requirements only, and should
be brought to.the property owner's attention.
This permit does not indicate conformance with other Eagle County
requirements.

We are contracting Hepworth-Pawlak Geotechnical to perform the perk tests.
These tests will be conducted today & tomorrow. We will forward the results of
those tests to you when it becomes available to us.

As requested, the percolation testing was conducted in the shallow pits dug at the site prior to
our visit.
The test results are presented in the attached table. Based on the testing and observation of the
profile pit (May 6, 1994 letter, Job No. 194 240), the tested site is suitable for an infiltration
septic disposal system.

Subject: Observation of Profile Pit in Proposed Leach Field Area, Lot 2,
Harmony View Subdivision, Eagle County, Colorado.
Gentlemen -
As requested by Hans Raaflaub of B & H General Contractors, we observed the pit on
May 5, 1994, We understand that ft county has requested a statement regarding the
feasibility of an infiltration septic disposal system at the subject sito,
A pit 8 feet deep had been dug in the southwest part of the building envelope at the
time of our site visit.. The pit had been dug the same day as our observation. The
profile consisted of l foot of topsoil above stiff brown sandy clay, Calcareous clay with
scattered basalt gravel and cobble took, was encountered below 3 1/2 feet to the pit
bottom, No free water was observed.
Based on our observations the site appears suitable for an infiltration septic disposal
system. The calcareous soils at 3 112 feet may have a better infiltration rate than the
upper brown clays based can our experience in the aroa. Percolation testing should be
conducted for leach field design.
