BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE~OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 90-~
APPOINTING ROSS W. ARMOUR, M.D., AS
ACTING EAGLE COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICER
WHEREAS, pursuant Section 25-1-610, C.R.S., the Board of
County Commissioners of Eagle County, Colorado ("the Board"') •, in
its capacity as the County .Board of Health, shall appoint one or
more physicians to the Board of Health, who shall be the health
officer(s) of the County; and
WHEREAS, Thomas I. Steinberg, M.D., has resigned as Eagle
' County Public Officer effective July 1, 1990; and
WHEREAS, in the interest of making the most suitable appoint-
ment to the position of Public Health Officer, the Board desires
to solicit interest from area physicians, and to interview
applicants before making a permanent appointment; and
WHEREAS, to prevent the County's being without a Public Health
Officer before a permanent appointment is made, the Board desires
to appoint an Acting Public Health Officer; and
WHEREAS, Ross M. Armour, M.D., of Vail Mountain Medical, P.C.,
has indicated his willingness to accept the appointment as Acting
Public Health Officer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, Ross M. Armour, M.D., be and is hereby appointed Acting
Eagle County Public Health Officer, effective immediately, until
further action of the Board.
THAT, this resolution is necessary for the health, safety and
well-being of the citizens of Eagle-County, Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners
of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, at its regular meeting
held the day of July, 1990.
