of the following Resolution:
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 90-6-1
PROCLAIMING MAY 13 THROUGH 19, 1990, AS
HISTORIC PRESERVATION WEEK IN EAGLE COUNTY
WHEREAS, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the
Colorado Historical Society, Historic Denver, Historic Boulder,
and Colorado Preservation, Inc., are co- sponsoring Historic
Preservation Week 1990, with the theme of "Keeping America's
Heritage Alive;" and
WHEREAS, historic preservation gives residents of Colorado and
Eagle County a deeper understanding of their richly diverse
architectural and cultural heritage; and
WHEREAS, historic preservation promotes pride in the towns,
cities and rural areas of Eagle County and the State; and
WHEREAS, activities held during May 13 through May 19, 1990,
will promote the efforts being made to protect our historic
buildings, sites and districts; and will demonstrate to residents
of and visitors to Eagle County and the State the benefits of such
preservation; and
WHEREAS, the Eagle County Historical Society promotes historic
preservation within our County, and supports the purposes of
Historic Preservation Week.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT May 13 through May 19, 1990, be and is hereby designated
Historic Preservation Week in Eagle County.
