The purpose of our site visits was to inspect the installation of the septic system. At the time of our site visit the residence was under construction. The system was designed and constructed for a 3-bedroom residence. The system was installed in overall compliance with the septic system design, Drawing No. 16- 3149OWTS.dwg, dated May 11, 2017. At the time of the inspection we observed the following: They installed a 1000-gallons, two compartments, precast, concrete, septic tank by Valley Precast. They had constructed a cleanout at about 2.5 feet between the tank and the building, as shown on the as -built sketch. The inlet and outlet of the tank had the T's installed. In the outlet tee they installed an effluent filter with a handle extension within a foot of the cover. The tank access ports had 24-inch white, plastic risers over each and were covered with green plastic lids. The lids were at the ground surface. Once the trenches were excavated, one foot of concrete sand was placed on the bottom of each trench. Forty-four (44), Q-4 Plus, Standard Infiltrator Chambers were installed in two trenches, with 22 infiltrators in each trench. There was a minimum of 6 feet separation between the trenches. They were connected with serial distribution. All inspection ports were installed (in the first and last chamber of each row of infiltrators). The effluent line from the septic tank to the leachfield was about 140 feet long. There was a cleanout installed right after the outlet of the septic tank and another one at about 100 feet west towards the infiltrators. There is no other warranty either expressed or implied. Mr.O’Connor: This letter is to inform you that the above-referenced, OWTS-4-17-16443 permit, has been inspected and finalized. This OWTS permit was approved and sized to serve the 3 bedrooms, main residence. Additional information about the maintenance your septic system needs can be accessed through our website links, provided on the Environmental Health Department’s septic system resource page. Be aware that changes in the use of your property or alterations of your building may require commensurate changes to, or relocation of, your septic system . Landscape features, trees with tap roots, irrigation systems and parking areas above the soil treatment area can cause premature system failure. It is equally important that you notice and immediately repair dripping faucets and hissing toilets as this will certainly cause the system to fail. If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact us at (970) 328-8755 and reference the OWTS septic permit number. Best Regards, Giovanna Harkay. MERRY, REHS Manager We recommend that the trenches are excavated 4 feet, through the topsoil and blocky clay and into the lighter brown to whitish, silty sand with cobbles and boulder. We also recommend that one (1) foot of concrete sand be placed in the bottom of each trench. The infiltrator chambers will then be constructed on top of the sand filter. ! (970) 390-0307 October 30th, 2018 Mr. Shaun O’Connor 23 W 73rd St. New York, NY. 10023 RE: Final approval of the: Septic System Installation, OWTS-4-17-16591 Property location: 594 Winchester Trail, Eagle County area. Mr. O’Connor: This letter is to inform you that the above-referenced, OWTS-4-17-16591 permit, has been inspected and finalized. This OWTS permit was approved and sized to serve a 2 bedrooms, guest house. ! G , Cordillera, Eagle County, Colorado G Lot 19, Cordillera at the Territories, Filing No. 40, Eagle County, Colorado G There weren’t any existing structures on the property. G The property has a well for domestic use and public water for fire and sprinkler. G G The topography of the property within both of the proposed leachfield sites is moderate with a slope of about 17 percent. The two soil treatment areas will be in the same location, separated by about 10 feet. G Soil Data: Additional three profile holes were excavated. They were located below and to both sides of the proposed leachfield area. G ! G The proposed leachfield site is located on a back/side slope to the west of the guest house and the main residence. The slope shape is linear. The trenches will run along the contours. G The topography of the proposed soil treatment area is moderate. G The vegetation of the proposed soil treatment area consisted of sage brush with thick grass in-between. The surrounding vegetation was similar. G The property is situated on a mountain side in a residential area consisting of large (35 acre) parcels of land. There are no other natural and cultural features on the property. G Presently the property is used as a residential subdivision. Previous uses of the property based on local records were ranching. !
