BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 94 -
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO
TO DEVELOP, MAINTAIN, AND OPERATE GROUND MASS TRANSPORTATION
WITHIN EAGLE COUNTY
WHEREAS, Colorado Revised Statutes Sections 29 -1 -203 and 30-
11 -101 authorize the Board of County Commissioners, County of
Eagle, State of Colorado, hereinafter referred to as the "Board ",
to provide for mass transportation in Eagle County or portions
thereof; and
WHEREAS, the County does not currently directly operate ground
mass transportation services within the County; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to authorize the Town of Avon to
provide ground mass transportation within the County; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Avon has developed, maintains, and
operates ground mass transportation services within the County of
Eagle, under the authority of the Public Utilities Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Avon desires County of Eagle to supple-
ment the authority granted to the Town by the Public Utilities
Commission; and
WHEREAS, this resolution is intended to extend the County's
authority to provide ground transportation within Eagle County to
the Town of Avon on a non - exclusive basis, the Board having entered
into other agreements and grants of authority in order to serve the
citizens of the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the Board hereby authorizes on a non - exclusive basis the
Town of Avon to provide ground mass transportation service within
Eagle County through October 1, 1995.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners
of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, this day of
