setbacks.
Contact the design engineer for final certification of proper installation and to create the as-built drawing

This letter is to inform you that the above-referenced septic permit has been inspected and
finalized. This permit was approved and sized for a 4 bedroom dwelling. Additional information
about the maintenance your septic system needs as well as information about private wells can be
accessed through web site links provided on the Environmental Health Department’s home page
at http://www.eaglecounty.us/envHealth/
Be aware that changes in the use of your property or alterations of your building may
require commensurate changes to, or relocation of, your septic system. Landscape features,
trees with tap roots, irrigation systems and parking areas above the drain field can ca use
premature system failure. It is equally important that you notice and immediately repair
dripping faucets and hissing toilets as this will certainly cause the system to fail. By
following a few simple guidelines, like avoiding grease or other additives down the drain and
making sure your septic tank is on a pumping schedule, your system has been designed to
last for many years.

Dear Gary:
At your request, on August29, 2014, we visited the construction site at the Lot 28, Block
6, Lake Creek Meadows, 614 Eagle Crest Road, Eagle County, Colorado. The purpose of our site
visits was to inspect the installation of the new septic tank and building sewer line.
They installed the system in overall compliance with our letter for a septic system
alteration, dated October 17, 2013, and as shown on the attached as-built sketch. They installed a
2000-gallon, two compartments, concrete septic tank. New cleanout was constructed between the
septic tank and the building, and the new tank was connected to the existing effluent line. The
vertical separation from the outlet of the new tank to the original effluent line was about 12 feet
down.
According to Chris Spiegel, they broke up the old concrete tanks and hauled them off to
the concrete dump on the Davis Property.
There is no other warranty either expressed or implied.

Dear Gary:
At your request, we reviewed the original septic system design and the as -built (our Project #
20166) for the existing residence at Lot 28, Block 6, Lake Creek Meadows, 614 Eagle Crest Road,
Edwards, Eagle County, Colorado. We also received other documentation by e-mail, including the
proposed new remodel plans for the residence and your applications to the building and environmental
health departments.
From our telephone conversation, we understand that there will be no addition to the number of
bedrooms, and the only change required to the system is to move the septic tank east from its present
location, to allow for the new addition, grading and landscaping.
The existing septic tank consists of two tanks, one, 1000-gallons one -compartment, and one
1250-gallons, two -compartments, concrete septic tank. We recommend that the existing two tanks be
pumped and abandoned according to the Eagle County Environmental Health Department Regulations,
Chapter IV, Individual Sewage Disposal Systems, Section, 4.15.07, Termination of Use of System.
Once the existing septic tanks are removed or abandoned in place:
New, 2000-gallons, two -compartments concrete septic tank will be installed in the new
location down gradient and east from the present location of the septic tanks.
Call the undersigned engineer for inspection of the installation of the new septic tank and
the associated building sewer and effluent lines before backfilling.
This report has been prepared according to locally accepted Professional Engineering standards
for similar conditions at this time. There is no other warranty either expressed or implied.
