RE: Septic System Inspection
Lot 5, Cordillera Subdivision Filing No. 1 & 2
Eagle County, Colorado
Project No. 97-0264G
Dear Bill:
The undersigned visited the subject site to inspect the installation of the septic system for
the residence to be located at Lot 5, Cordillera Subdivision Filing No. 1 & 2. The site
was visited on July 29, 30 & 31, 1997 to observe the installation of the septic system
infiltrator absorption field. The absorption field was installed prior to the construction of
the residence because of the lot layout. On September 3, 1997 the site was revisited to
inspect the installation of the septic tank.
The septic tank consisted of a rectangular 2000-gallon concrete septic tank. The
absorption field consisted of 55 infiltrator chamber units installed in 5 rows.
L-7 fl
The septic system was installed in substantial compliance with our design dated June 10,
1997, Inter -Mountain Engineering Project No. 97-0149G.
This document was prepared for the exclusive use of Stenson Excavating. The use of this
document or the information contained herein by any other person or entity is not
authorized. In the event any other person or entity desires to use this document for the
information contained herein for any purpose, they must first contact Inter -Mountain

RE: Percolation Testing
Lot 5, Cordillera Subdivision Filing No. I & 2
Eagle County, Colorado
Project No. 97-0149G
Door Ms. Nicknish:
I
Inter-Mountaln Engineering performed a septic system design for the subject proJect - n order
to design the septic system a profile hole was dug and percolation testing was performed.
Th.0 percolation tests were performed on May 20, 1997 in the vicinity of the proposed
0800ption field, refer to septic System. Three 6-Inch diameter percolation test holes were dug
to depths Of approximately 30 inches. The test holes were filled with water 24 hours prior to the
actual testing to allow the soils to inundate. The water levels were measured to a relative
constant rate. The Percolation rates varied from approximately 17 to 30 minutes per Inch. The
results of the percolation are attached.
The soils encountered in the profile hole - nsisted of a light brown sandy SILT and
SILTSTONE gravel to depths of approximately Eofeat.
Afthough the percolation test holes and profile pits were dug to obtain a reasonable accurate
determination of the absorption field conditions, variations in the subsurface condifloms are
816b possible. Variations that exist beneath the absorption field may become evident during
the excavation. A representative from our office should observe the completed excavation to
confirm that the soils encountered are as Indicated by the soils profile hole.
