Home My WebLink AboutR97-018 public auction of personal property of countyCommissioner p L44177LZ moved adoption of the following Resolution: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO RESOLUTION NO. 97 - IIS A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PUBLIC AUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO WHEREAS, C.R.S. 30- 11- 101(1)(c) and (e) , and C.R.S. 30-11 - 107(1)(a) and (e) , empower the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado (hereinafter referred to as the "Board ") to sell, convey, or exchange personal property owned by Eagle County, and to make such order respecting the same as may be deemed conducive to the interests of the inhabitants; and WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the County Building and Grounds Departments, the Board desires to sell at a public auction certain personal property owned by the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, identified in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporat- ed herein by this reference, for the reason that the intended purpose and use of the Property by the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, no longer exists; and WHEREAS, the Board desires to schedule a public auction for the sale and disposition of the Property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO: THAT, the Board hereby authorizes the sale of the Property to the highest bidder at a public auction to be held Saturday, March 8, 1997, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Eagle County Buildings and Grounds Buildings, 590 Broadway, Eagle, Colorado. THAT, the sale of any of the Property shall be made to the highest bidder. THAT, the proceeds from the sale of the Property shall be deposited into the Eagle County General Fund. THAT, the Board, or its designated representative, shall have the right to reject any and all bids tendered for any specific item of personal property which, in its sole judgment, is too low, unreasonable, or not conducive to the interests of the citizens of Eagle County. THAT, this Resolution is necessary for the public health, safety and welfare of the citizenry of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado. MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Eagle, Sta of Colorado, at its regular meeting held the day of 1997.
