BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO.: 86-
EAGLE CCUNTY REGIONAL BICYCLE PATH
WHEREAS, the ':Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Eagle, State of Colorado, hereinafter referred to
as the 'Board "; and
WHEREAS, the ',goals, objectives, and policies of
the Eagle County Master Plan encourage the development of
a bicycle path system; and
WHEREAS, a recommendation from the Recreation
Advisory Committee was the construction of a bicycle/
pedestrian path linking the communities in the eastern
end of Eagle County; and
WHEREAS, upon the recommendations of Charles Penwill,
from his study entitled "A Survey and Evaluation of Recreational
Facilities and Programs in Eastern Eagle County, Colorado "; and
WHEREAS, the Board has reviewed and endorsed the
Bicycle Path Location Study prepared by Jeff Blauer in the
summer of 1983; and
WHEREAS, the Board has committed the use of the
Conservation Trust Funds for the construction of the bicycle/
pedestrian path system.'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado:

THAT, the Board wholeheartedly supports the submission
of a grant application (Land and Water Conservation Fund) for
assistance in the construction of a bicycle /pedestrian path
from Eagle -Vail to Avon', and that the implementation of the
entire bicycle /pedestrian path system is a very high priority
with the Board.
MOVED, READ, AND ADOPTED by the Board of County
Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, at
its regular meeting held the day of lC`,/n,� C,- ,
