Home My WebLink AboutR86-047 disposal of personal propertyCommissioner 4 moved adoption of the following Ress ut�t nc BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO RESOLUTION NO. 86 -� DISPOSAL AND CONTINUING INVENTORY OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO WHEREAS, pursuant to §§ 30- 11- 101(1)(c) and (e), and 30-11-107 - (1)(a) and (e), respectively, C.R.S., the Board of County Commis- sioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado (hereinafter referred to as the "Board "), is empowered to sell, convey, or exchange personal property owned by the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, and make such order respecting the same as may be deemed conducive to the interests of the inhabitants; and WHEREAS, the Board desires to discard and /or remove from its inventory certain personal property owned by the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, identified in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, for the reason that the property is no longer usable nor of any benefit to the County or its inhabitants due to its destruction, loss, obsolescence and /or extremely deteriorated condition; and WHEREAS, the particulars of each individual property item's destruction, loss, obsolescence, and /or deterioration are set forth in greater detail in the attached Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, pursuant to § 29 -1 -506, C.R.S., the Board shall make or cause to be made an annual inventory of property, both real and personal, belonging to Eagle County; except that an inventory shall be required only with respect to items of property having an origi- nal cost of one hundred dollars ($100.00) or more, unless such items having a value of less than one hundred dollars are required to be inventoried by directive of state auditor; and WHEREAS, by reason thereof and for purposes of inventory prepared pursuant to statute, the Chief Administrative Officer of Eagle County desires the Board to disregard those items of property belonging to Eagle County having an original value of less than one hundred dollars as set forth in Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS- SIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO: THAT, the Board hereby authorizes and directs that the personal property itemized in Exhibit "A" attached hereto be discarded and /or removed from the inventory of Eagle County by the appropriate Eagle County employees. THAT, for purposes of the inventory prepared pursuant to § 29 -1 -506, C.R.S., the Board hereby determines to disregard those items of property belonging to Eagle County having an original value of less than one hundred dollars, as set forth in Exhibit "B" attached hereto. THAT, by reason of such inventory, the Board hereby requests and directs the Eagle County Chief Administrative Officer to take all necessary steps in removing those items of property set forth in Exhibit "B" from Eagle County's fixed assets records using generally accepted accounting principles. THAT, this Resolution is necessary for the public health, safety, and welfare of the citizenry of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
