At the request of Wayne Haskins an September 4, M8, we visited the construction site at 0387 Pilgrim Drive, In the Pilgrim Downs Subdivision, Eagle County, Colorado. The purpose of our site visit was to inspect the Installation of the septic system. The system was installed in general compliance with the design drawing dated July 28, 1998. They installed 1500-gallon, two compartments, a precast, concrete, septio tank. From the northeast corner of the existing residence to the south inspection cover on the septic tank was 46 feet and from the northeast comer of the new addition to the same cover was 17 feet. Sixty Standard Infiltrator Chambers were installed irifibur trenches. The first two trenches had sixteen infiltrators each, the third trench had fifteen and the last trench had thirtemn. Near the end of the third row of infiltrators, was the end of the old leachfield and'it had standing water. For this reason the new leachfield was moved further baek to the :north and toward the woods. The Infiltrators were connected with serial distribution. In the last infiltrator of each trench, inspection ports were installed. Horizontal distance from center to denter of the trenches, was 9 feet or more. From the south end of the fourth trench to the pond was 25 feet and frova the north end to the stream was 63 feet. All piping was STAR,-35, 4-inch PVC, The depth of the trenches was two to three, feet. Ilic soil profile in the trenches was consistent with the soil encountered in the profile hole. if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. silloerely, LKP Engine President cc: Ms, Heather Savalox, EMD, fix 328.718$ CA0FP1CMW?W1*'qV?D0C51W } IOVAT) 3Z6_034q P,O, Box 2837, Edwards, Colorado 81632 * (970)"926-9088Tel * (970)W-9089Fax HUZF,Ll—A RESIDFiNCF, Lot, i, Filing 3, Pilgrim Dum-is Eagle County, Czturado CAT E j?!Woiido 09-02-04 13:50 TO:ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH . The building sewer line from the house to the septic tank shall have a maximum slope of 114 inch per foot. Bends in the building sewer shall be limited to 45 degrees. 2. The septic tank shall be installed level The tank shall have removable covers or manholes to within 8 inches of the finished grade, for inspection and cleaning. 3. Excavate three (3) feet wide trenches. The horizontal distance from sidewall to sidewall between the trenches shall be a minimum of six (6) feet. 4. The bottom and the sidewalls of the Trenches shall be raked to eliminate smearing. 5. Assemble and install the Infiltrator Chambers in the trenches according to the manufacturers recommendations. 6. Backfill the sidewall area with native cn—site soil for proper support. 7. Backfill the trenches with a minimum ,)f 12 inches of tamped soil cover. 8. Avoid vehicle traffic over the system. 9. All installations shall meet the rules and regulations of the Eagle County Environmental Health Division, Chapter 4, Individual Sewage Disposal Systems. 10. The Septic System Installation shall be inspected by the Design Engineer prior to backfilling.
