IN RE THE MATTER OF

FOR THE COU = OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
. AND APPOINTMENTS THERETO
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of
Eagle, State of Colorado (hereinafter the "board ") is authorized,
ursuant to state enabling legislation including but not limited to
p $30 -28 -101, et seq., C.R.S., to establish a planning commission to
carry out such planning and zoning functions as are authorized by
applicable statutes; and
MEREAS, the Board desires to reunite and establish one
Planning Commission to serve the entire County of Eagle until such
time as coo erative agreements can be reached with the
Municipalitie ( to formulate Regional Planning Commission (s) ; and
wH EREAS , the Board desires the Ea g le County Planning
Commission to consider and make recommendations on those certain
matters that come before it, including but not limited to the
adoption of pending Master Plans; and
WHEREAS, in addition to creating the Eagle County Planning
Commission, the Board desires to make regular and alternate
appointments to this commission as set forth below; and
WHEREAS, the Board hereby determines that the creation of the
Eagle County Planning Commission described herein is necessary and
roper for the protection of the public health, safety, welfare and
in the best interest of the citizens of Eagle County, Colorado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By THE BOARD OF COUNT`Y
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
I. CREATION OF TEE EAGLE COUNTY PLANTING COMMISSION:
THAT, the Eagle and Colorado Valley Planning Commission and
the Roaring Fork Valley Planning Commission which were created
pursuant to Resolution 90 -27 are hereby disbanded and merged into
the Eagle County Planning Commission until such time as
cooperative agreements can be reached with the Municipalities
creating Regional Planning Commission(s).

THAT, the Eagle County Planning Commission shall be and is
hereby created to perform all duties and functions required of a
planning commission under the Eagle County Land Use Regulations and
state law and other such matters as may be required or assigned to
it from time to time. Said Commission shall perform such duties
for all of Eagle County.
THAT, all applications pending before the Roaring Fork Valley
PlanninV Commission or the Eagle and Colorado Valley Planning
Commission for review and consideration under the Eagle County Land
Use Regulations are hereby to be heard by the Eagle County Planning
Commission.
THAT, all applications submitted to the County for review and
consideration under the Eagle County Land Use Regulations on or
before November 1 1995 shall be considered by the Eagle
County Planning omnission.
THAT, the Eagle County Planning Commission shall hold regular
public meetings on the first and third Wednesdays of each month
either at the Eagle County Building located at 500 Broadway or the
first and third Thursdays after the first and third Wednesdays at
the Basalt Town Hall located at 101 Midland Avenue.
THAT, the Eagle County Planning Commission may convene at such
other times as may be directed by the Board of County
Commissioners. Furthermore, said planning commission may adjourn
and reconvene as it deems appropriate.
THAT, the following persons be and are hereby appointed as
regular or alternate members of the Eagle County Planning
Commission with terms to continue until such time as the Regrional
Planning Commissions are created or to continue until such time as
their replacements have been duly appointed:

Arlene Quenon
Victor Mark Donaldson
Barbara Schey
Bruce- Matherly
Peter Delany
Gary Ross

THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that
this Resolution is necessary for the public health, safety and
welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County
Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, .at its
regular meeting held the day of 1995.
