° WHEREAS, Holy Cross Electric Association, did file ~n
o application with the Eagle County Department of Community
Development on or about April 21,1995, for a Special Use Permit
to replace an existing transmission line with a new line, within
the Resource Zone District, in the unincorporated area of Eagle
County described as follows: north and east of the Town of
Basalt. (see attached)

w ~ WHEREAS, based on the evidence, testimony, exhibits, study
o b of the Master Plan for the unincorporated areas of Eagle County,

° ~ Regulations, which are incorporated herein as if set
~ forth with particularity.

WHEREAS, Holy Cross Electric Association, did file an
application with the Eagle County Department of Community

COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
That the application of Holy Cross Electric Association,
File No. ZS-367-95 for a Special Use Permit for Basalt area
Transmission Line within the Resource Zone District described
~~ ~Yierein, be apprc subject to the conditi~ as set forth
herein.
THAT, the following conditions shall be placed upon this
approval and that violation of any condition shall be the basis
for revocation of the Special Use Permit:
1. That all disturbed areas be revegetated with the
appropriate seed mixtures.
2. That Holy Cross Electric Association use phased
rotation where ever possible.
3. That~the new poles-are not to exceed the existing, poles
by 30'. '
All material representations made by the Applicant in the
application and public meeting shall be adhered to and considered
conditions of approval, unless otherwise amended by other
conditions.
THAT, this permit shall be subject to periodic review by the
Planning Department, and shall be heard by the Board of County
Commissioners only if complaints are received and not
satisfactorily resolved by the staff.
THAT, the Board of County Commissioners directs the
Department of Community Development to provide a copy of this
Resolution to the Applicant.
THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that
this Resolution is necessary for the health, safety and welfare
of the citizens of Eagle County.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners
of the Countys ~of Eagle, State of Colorado at its regular meeting

].15KV TRANSMISSION LINE REBUILD
EAGLE COUNTY SPECIAL USE PERMTT
Tile centerline of a Special Use Permit for rebuilding an existing
115KV transmission line in Sections 7 and 8, Township 8 South,
Range 86 West of the 6th P.M., County of Eagle, State of
Colorado, being more particularly described as follows:
SECTION A •
Beginning at a point under the existing Basalt to Aspen 115KV
double circuit from which the west 1/4 corner of said Section 7
bears S75°51'W a distance 2722 feet, more or less; thence
S09°40'E along the existing 115KV transmission line into the
Basalt Substation, a•distance of 698 feet, more or less, to the
point of ending.
SECTION B
Beginning at a point under the existing Basalt to Aspen i15KV
double circuit from which the west 1/4 corner of said Section 8
e bears S51°16'W a distance 2147 feet, more or less; thence along
the older of the two existing Basalt to Aspen 115KV transmission
lines the following 4 courses:
1. S60°49'E 497 feet _
2. S60°02'E 1788 feet
3. S32°46'W 922 feet
4. S05°26'W 1522 feet
to the point of ending on the Eagle County line.
