Box 2837 Edwards, CO 81632 Luiza, We successfully tested the septic pump and alarm system for the caretakers unit at the Fiala Residence yesterday, the 14th of February. The pump was installed 15” above the tank floor, and the pump will begin pumping when the water level hits 37”. After unplugging the pump the alarm system goes off when the water level reaches 44”. Both work per design. The system will pump 145 gallons per dose. Les Arney February 20, 2013 Mary Lou and Gerald Fiala c/o Ulf Lindroth Ulf & Associates LLC P.O. Box 509 Edwards, CO 81632 E-mail: ulf@ulfbuilt.com RE: Inspection of Septic System Installation Lot 7, Timber Springs 200 Timber Springs Eagle County, Colorado Project No. : 12029- OWTS-6-12-7680 Dear Ulf: At the request from David, on August 1, September 19, and twice on September 20, 2012, we visited the construction site at the Lot 7,Timber Springs, 200 Timber Springs, Eagle County, Colorado. The purpose of our site visits was to inspect the installation of the septic system. They installed the system in overall compliance with the septic system design, Drawing No.12029SD.DWG, dated June 25, 2012, and as shown on the attached as-built sketch. The installed system is for a one bedroom caretaker unit. They installed a 1250-gallon, three compartments, electric lift, Front Range Precast concrete, septic tank. In the last compartment of the septic tank, they installed a Gould WE Series Model 3885 Pump, WE0511HH, ½ HP, single phase, 115 volts, 3500RPM. Two cleanouts were installed between the building and the septic tank, as shown on the sketch. The effluent line from the pump tank to the first infiltrator of the top trench was a total distance of about 100 feet. The effluent line was 2-inch diameter sch40 pvc. The pump dosing, the floats function and the alarms were tested on February 14, 2013, by Les Arney, Diamond A Excavating, Inc. His report is attached. . The alarm was installed in the barn on the east wall, near the southeast corner. Nineteen, Standard Infiltrator Chambers were installed in two trenches, as shown on the attached sketch. The west (upper) trench had eleven infiltrators and it had a perforated pipe suspended from the top of the first five chambers. The lower trench had 8 infiltrators. The infiltrators were connected with serial distribution. In the first and last infiltrator of each trench, inspection ports were installed. Horizontal distance from center to center of the trenches, was 14 feet or more. The depth of the trenches was no more than 36 inches. There is no other warranty either expressed or implied.
