RE: Percolation Test for Exemption Plat Process/ISDS permit for
property located at: Tract N° 101, Section 20 & 29, T.SS,
R.85W; 3 miles south of Gypsum on Gypsum Creek Road. Tax
Parcel #2111-204-00-017.
On December 7 & 12, 1994, I conducted a site visit of the above
referenced property. The site visit was conducted in an attempt to
perform a percolation test of the property's soils.
Due to the climatic conditions at the site I was'unable to conduct
a percolation test. However, soil characteristics did reveal
acceptable conditions for an Individual Sewage Disposal
System(ISDS) to be located on the 5 acres of property. The soil is
from an alluvium deposit that is a uniform silty -clay soil with no
indication of mottling. There was no evidence of groudwater or
bedrock in the soil profile hole at 9 feet. Adjacent lots, Lot #14
& Lot #13, show acceptable percolation rates with conventional
ISDS's installed.
Based upon the available information the environmental health
division recommends approval of the plat exemption for the above
mentioned property.
