of the following Resolution:
EAGLE COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 92-02/k
RESOLUTION AGREEING TO COOPERATE WITH
GARFIELD COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY
TO PROVIDE RENTAL ASSISTANCE IN THE BASALT /EL JEBEL AREA
WHEREAS, many low - income residents of the Basalt /El Jebel area
of Eagle County are not able to receive rental assistance under the
Section 8 Rental Assistance program; and
WHEREAS, the Garfield County Housing Authority and the Eagle
County Housing Authority desire to cooperate in providing rental
assistance to low - income families residing in the Basalt /E1 Jebel
area of Eagle County; and
WHEREAS, recent changes in U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development guidelines would permit those families receiving
assistance under the Section 8 Certificate and Housing Voucher
programs currently administered by the Garfield County Housing
Authority to move within, to and from residences in Garfield County
and the Basalt /El Jebel area of Eagle County; and
WHEREAS, Eagle County Housing Authority currently does not
administer any Section 8 Certificates or Housing Vouchers in the
Basalt /El Jebel areas; and
WHEREAS, through adoption of this resolution, the Garfield
Housing Authority shall also revise its administrative plan to
reflect the contents of this agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, Eagle County Housing Authority and the Garfield County
Housing Authority agree that Section 8 Certificates and Housing
Vouchers administered by the Garfield County Housing Authority
shall also be administered in the Basalt /E1 Jebel areas of Eagle
County; and
THAT, this resolution be in effect for a period of one (1)
year.

THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that
this Resolution is necessary for the public health, safety and
welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Eagle County Housing Authority
of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, at its regular meeting
held the 21st day of December, 1993.
