In addition, the updates were not fully ADA compliant and would only satisfy the minimum requirements, but would likely have to be updated at a later date. Being that Riverview has the funds available and has been working with an architect and a contractor, we have designed a fully ADA compliant units for our current and future residents which will be completed now. Since the units are currently vacant, this work will add minimal time to the process but provide a higher ease of living for the needs of Riverview's disabled families. RECITALS WHEREAS, RAP and Contractor entered into an agreement dated the 15th day of October 2021, for certain Services (the "Original Agreement"); and WHEREAS, the Original Agreement contemplated that the Consultant would perform certain Services with compensation in an amount not to exceed $148,010 for the original scope of work and an additional $15,000 in contingency for issues found during construction totaling $163,010; and WHEREAS, the RAP desires to have Consultant perform additional Services for additional compensation as set forth below in Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, the term of the Original Agreement expires on the 31st day of December, 2021, and the parties desire to extend the term for an additional two months until February 28, 2022. FIRST AMENDMENT NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing and the mutual rights and obligations as set forth below, the parties agree as follows: The Original Agreement shall be amended to include additional Services as described in Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. 2. The compensation for the additional Services set forth in Exhibit 1 attached to this First Amendment shall not exceed $91,246.11. Accordingly, the total maximum compensation under the Original Agreement and this First Amendment shall not exceed $254,256.11. $239,256.11 of that total is for outlined contracted work. The remaining $15,000.00 consists of contingency funds to cover any construction issues found during construction. Pursuant to the Original Agreement, contingency funds may only be utilized if approved in writing by William Wright, the Housing Department's designee. 3.
