BOARD OF TRUSTEES RESOLUTION
(Cancellation of 2021 Trustee Elections)
WHEREAS, Colorado Mountain College ("CMC" or the "College") is a Local College
District located in all or part of Chafee, Eagle, Fremont, Garfield, Lake, Pitkin, Routt and
Summit Counties in the State of Colorado; and
WHEREAS, the regular biennial election for members of the CMC Board of Trustees is
scheduled to be held on November 2, 2021, pursuant to state law; and
WHEREAS, CMC has entered into intergovernmental agreements with every county in
which it is located in order to participate in coordinated elections; and
WHEREAS, § 1-5-208(1.5) of the Colorado Revised Statutes states that if, by the close
of business on the sixty-third day before the election, the governing body shall cancel the
election if there are not more candidates than offices to be filled at the election; and
WHEREAS, on August 31, 2021, there is one candidate for each of the three CMC Board
of Trustees positions up for election on November 2 2021 and therefore the College's
participation in the election shall be

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the CMC Board of Trustees hereby

elects each of the three candidates by acclamation.
