ECAS provision of services is contingent on the available space at ECAS. If there is available space at Eagle County's Animal Shelter and BFF choses to offer this service to a resident currently staying at BFF's BrightHouse who has an animal, ECAS will care for that animal that BFF is unable to house on -site. BFF may transfer animals to ECAS due to lack of space at the BrightHouse, and for specialized care of frightened/aggressive or larger animals. During the animal's stay at ECAS, the following care will be provided at no cost to BFF or the animal's owner: • Clean cage and fresh water daily or as needed. • Feed same pet food as provided to other shelter animals. Provide a special diet on request and at theexpense of the animal owner (or food provided by the animal owner). • Dog walking if ECAS staff is available. BFF and ECAS will work in partnership with local veterinary providers to provide free or discounted services if needed. These additional services will be offered that might require funding or reimbursement at the responsibility of the animal owner to ECAS: • If the animal requires emergency medical care, such as casting broken bones, X-rays, treatment of burns orlacerations, etc., the services will be provided and billed by the attending veterinarian to the animal owner according to a pre -determined fee schedule. • Preventative vaccinations if the animal is not up to date including: o Dogs and cats 4 months of age and older must be current on rabies inoculation and, if not current, the animal owner or BFF is responsible for ECAS's actual cost of providing the inoculation. o Dogs must be current on distemper, parvovirus, and coronavirus vaccination and kennel cough vaccinations and, if not current, the animal owner is responsible for ECAS's actual cost of providing such vaccinations. o Cats 8 weeks of age and older must be current on their FVCRP vaccination and, if not current, the animal owner or BFF is responsible for ECAS's actual cost of providing the vaccination.
